Green Point Rocks: July Afternoon

Released 2013

Green Point is located in the middle of the 12 km stretch of Long Beach in Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island’s west coast. This outcrop of rock below the park campground has a number of intriguing shapes that epitomize the best the outer coast has to offer. I have been attracted to the piles of drift logs and the reflections in the sand here on several occasions and have painted a number of versions of this scene over the years. It is also the location where Princess Anne and a young Jean Chretien cut the ribbon that opened the new Pacific Rim National Park Reserve in May of 1971.

Complimentary shipping is available on all original and giclée reproduction artworks to the majority of Canadian and U.S. mainland addresses. A gallery representative will confirm with you if your order is eligible.
