Second Radar Beach

Released 2010

This artwork is available as a limited edition giclée reproduction.

Second Radar Beach is located in the Pacific Rim National Park on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Radar Hill, which is the hill above the beach, was formerly cleared for a radar installation during World War 11. In 1971, Mark Hobson ventured out to the west coast of Vancouver Island for the first time as a teenager and it was during that trip that Mark decided to move to the west coast. Second Radar Beach carries memories of that first trip to the “wild side” and has long become one of his favourite areas in Clayoquot Sound. The original oil painting of Second Radar Beach was painted on location in the winter of 2005 capturing the essence of the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Complimentary shipping is available on all original and giclée reproduction artworks to the majority of Canadian and U.S. mainland addresses. A gallery representative will confirm with you if your order is eligible.
