Courtenay Slough
Released 2007
The town of Courtenay lies half way up the east side of Vancouver Island and despite considerable urban development there is still a hidden remnant of the community from an earlier era. The rustic dock with its mixture of pleasure and commercial boats lies right in the center of town along the Puntledge River and is a great place to set up an easel. I took some artistic license and played with the early morning mist as it was rising at the end of the channel.
