Portland Point at Sunset

Portland Point marks the north end of the 12 km stretch of beach called Long Beach near Tofino, B.C. on Vancouver Island’s exposed west shore. The area is well known for its intense winter downpours but there are gaps between the consecutive low pressure systems and on these occasions the end of a winter day can be a spectacular sunset.
