Famous for its surf, Chesterman Beach near načiks / Tofino, B.C. is well known as the epicentre of Canada’s west coast surfing culture. But even if you are not into surfing it is a gorgeous place to walk at any time of year. When I was first a resident of načiks / Tofino in the 1980s I rented a cabin in three different locations on the beach and have painted the various moods of the Chestermans on many occasions.
