I love to paint skies and especially in watercolour. Spring and fall are usually the most dynamic when the days are unpredictable. Rain showers are a common occurrence but between the showers are dark clouds with brilliant sunlit edges that are constantly changing providing endless inspiration. The Arakun Flats, between my studio and the town of Tofino, lie exposed at low tide but as the shallows ebb and flow with the tide they reflect the magic playing out above.
